In a way, I think I was very lucky. My parents never taught me to undercut my own value and intelligence in the world. I was encouraged to read, get involved, learn all that I could, and pass it on to my own children. to be honest, I’d usually rather spend my time with book and I’m glad I married a ‘bookish’ man. Teaching our kids that there is more joy to get out of being yourself and being smart than traipsing along with the the crowd is a very cool thing. You are lucky to be so smart! We all are. Now we need to stop hiding it, AND/OR one-upping each other, and make huge, positive change come for this world. Wouldn’t that be magical?
